New Skype for Windows Mobile Allows File Transferring

Skype, one of the most popular instant messaging programs, has launched a new version for PDA and smart phones. The 3.0 version, still in beta, allows for users to do two new things: transfer files back and forth and send SMS. Windows Mobile users have been looking forward to these functions, which are standard in the desktop version of Skype, for quite some time. To send an SMS, all you have to do is hit a shortcut key on the Skype contacts page. Of course, this will cost you Skype Credit. To send files, all you need to do is go to contact options and select “send file.” Again, you’ll get charged for data transfer, so be sure you know your data plan’s limits. Skype 3.0 beta current works on Windows Mobile 5.x and 6.x.
