Amazon Unveils Larger Kindle Reader

Amazon’s Kindle reader has been quite popular, but some have found that the screen is simply too small. To address these concerns, Amazon has launched the Kindle DX, a larger version of the e-reader that is about two and a half times larger than the first version. It is aimed at those who want to read their newspapers and textbooks on the Kindle. The main draw of the Kindle DX is the larger screen, which measures 9.7 inches and can be used in either portrait or landscape mode. It also has a larger amount of memory and can store 3,500 books, 2,000 more than the current Kindle. The device will be released at some point in the summer, but Amazon customers can pre-order the Kindle DX now for $489.
