Why Do People Make Computer Viruses?

Most people wonder why people make computer viruses. They don’t do any good just too much damage. Well this question has many answers depending on the motive of the creator. A computer virus infects computers without your knowledge and can spread to other computers in a network. A Computer virus can be sometimes be referred to as malware, adware, spyware and just viruses. There are also worms and trojans which also infects computers. Trojans can record keystrokes and steal sensitive information.

People make computer viruses to cripple a computer or a network. To some people it makes them to feel great and superior and others do it as a punishment for somebody or something they hate.

Viruses like spywares can also be used to steal personal information like credit numbers, social security and email addresses. People who do this can profit by selling your information to criminals and hackers who pays them.

Viruses can also be used to make money. There are some fake anti-virus softwares that installs themselves on your computer and then fake scans your computer and tell you that it has found viruses. They will often ask you to buy the full version of their software so that they can remove the viruses for you. Those are just people looking for money.

Other viruses like adwares will display advertisements like popups on your computer. Some will hijack your search engine and display fake results.
