Making money online is one of the most popular topics on the internet today, but unfortunately some of those people who claim to know how to make money online, also want to make money from you by selling you the information that can be obtained for free on the internet. Here are some of the easy ways to make money on the internet, but don’t be fooled, making money requires a little effort.

• Blogging - Blogging is a great way to generate some money if you can write and enjoy doing it. This is one of the most popular ways of making money so it’s a little crowded but if you can come up with a good topic,  great design and good content then you can do it. Some great blogs like TechCrunch are making over $200,000 a month. Yes, this is not a typo, a month through private ad sales and CPC advertising. So you should consider this.
• Ebay – This shouldn’t be new to you because it has existed for a long time. Look around your house and if you find anything you dont need and has some value on it, then put it up on ebay. If you have some antiques that you want to get rid of, try ebay. A lot of people have made thousands from old things they thought weren’t worth anything so why shouldn’t you.
• Freelance Jobs – A freelancer simply finds a project, does it and gets paid on completion then does it again until he stops. Freelancing jobs can include data entry, web design, writer, research, photography etc. To search for projects available, you can use sites like guru, scriptlance, and a lot more you can find on Google.
• Start A Website – Starting a website isn’t that hard, if you don’t know how to make one,  just hire a designer or use ready made templates and CMS like Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla. Websites make money by selling private ad space, promoting products or by using CPC ad networks like google adsense. This business will never die because just imagine an internet without any websites to go to. If you have a unique idea, companies might even offer you millions to buy your website.
• Contests - There are a lot of contests that pay anywhere from $5 to over $1000. This contests include logo design, banner design, name suggestions, T-shirt design, backgrounds and so on.  To participate in one just go to  free sites like digital point forums or 99designs.
• Sell Stock Photos – Just buy a nice camera and take nice pictures and sell them to stock photo websites. It doesn’t have to be a real photo taken somewhere,  you can make pictures of your computer with programs like Photoshop then sell them to sites like istockphoto.
• Writer – This is another great way to make money will little effort. There are tons of blogs out there that are looking for writers to write for them, so if you can write great posts,  then you should try this. To find one just go to popular blogs and check if they need one or go to forums like digital point forums and post that you are available. They can earn $10 a post or more.
• Youtube - This one requires some creativity. Start a video blog or just post videos that gets a lot of views and Youtube will share the revenue they make from the ads displayed with you through their revenue sharing program.
• Making  Templates And Scripts – If you have some talent in web designing, then you can create templates for popular platforms like Wordpress, Blogger, Drupal, and  Joomla and sell them. Wordpress themes can go as high as $300, even more. You can also create website scripts that do certain things and sell them  to people who need them.

If you want to take screenshots of a website, there are different ways in which it can be done. One is the old fashioned way of “print screen” and now there are online tools that can take the shots for you in almost any browser you want. The first one is done by pressing print screen button on your keyboard. This method isn’t the best because it takes the whole computer screen (tabs, taskbar etc) and requires cropping if you need just the browser window. The other method is the easiest and the best way to do it, all you have to do is go to one of the website listed below and put in the website address or URL and you might also have to select what kind of browser you want to take the shots on.  Then take the shots.

Blend ads – Try blending your ads with your website or blog. This can help improve your CTR because returning visitors are usually blind from seeing the same ads everyday so change the color to attract their eyes.

Ad Placement – This is probably what you should do first.  If you place your ads in the right place, you will see a lot of improvements in your earnings.  Placing your ads near the content usually helps a lot but don’t place too many ads on a single page, its a turn off for most visitors. Ad formats – Try different ad formats to see which one does well for your blog/website. Usually the rectangles do better than the others.

Block low paying ads – Do this after you have tried all this and your are still getting low clicks. Google allows you to block ads you don’t want using the competitive ad filter, it can be found under adsense setup. With it you can block the ads that you know are low paying. Locking keyboard and mouse is something that parents with young kids should know how to do. I happen to have a nephew that sometimes when I’m working on something, he’ll just come and start slapping on the keyboard and that messes everything up for me. Good news, there’s a program called “Toddler Keys” that you can use to lock your keyboard, mouse and CD/DVD drives. The program can also disable your power button so that pushing it wont have any effect on your computer. All you have to do is download it, install it and use it by right clicking its task bar icon then selecting whatever you want lock. It works on both laptops and desktops. Delete unwanted files

Delete any unwanted files and folders that you don’t need. These can be files you downloaded from the internet or duplicates that you have on your computer. There might be video or music files that are duplicates or that you don’t need, delete them then empty your recycle bin. Doing this will create more space on your hard drive hence making it faster.

Uninstall programs you don’t use

If you have had your computer for a long time then there might be a lot of programs that you don’t need anymore. Go through your programs and find the ones you don’t need and uninstall them. 3D games usually take up a lot of space so if you have any that you don’t need, clean em up. To uninstall programs go to control panel then click add and remove programs.

Scan for viruses and spywares

There are viruses and spywares that usually run on the task bar taking a lot of CPU and memory power. Download a free antivirus like AVG or download a trial version of Kaspersky and do a full scan on your computer for any viruses. If you find any, remove them then restart your computer.

Defragment Disk

Defragmenting helps organize your hard drive so that the files can accessed easily and faster. Do this at least every 2 to 4 months to keep your computer fast. To do it go to Start – All Programs – Accessories – System Tools – Disk Defragmenter.

Increase ram

If none of this works then this is the best alternative. Increasing RAM size will help you a lot especially if you have windows XP and above. To see how much memory you have, press the windows key and pause key at the same time.

Uncheck everything except browsing history then click ‘clear private data now’. This will delete all history and your URL dropdown will now be clear.

To delete just a few items, click history on Firefox then click show all history. Now  after the window comes up, select what you want to delete and press the delete key on your keyboard or right click and click delete. Do the same for any other item you want to delete.
