A British man said that he found the the mythical lost city of Atlantis using the newly released Google Ocean about 620 miles off the coast of west Africa. Google ocean lets you dive under the ocean and explore it virtually from your computer. The man who spotted this, Bernie Bamford, said he came across this strange formations that look like streets while just exploring the ocean. Google came out to deny this by saying that “Bathymetric (or seafloor terrain) data is often collected from boats using sonar to take measurements of the sea floor. The lines reflect the path of the boat as it gathers the data. The fact there are blank spots between each of these lines is a sign of how little we really know about the world’s oceans.”
