All of us webmasters don’t like getting penny clicks and low earnings. Here are some ways you can use to improve adsense earnings.

Content - Have useful and informative content that will bring you some decent traffic. Traffic = Dinero

Blend ads – Try blending your ads with your website or blog. This can help improve your CTR because returning visitors are usually blind from seeing the same ads everyday so change the color to attract their eyes.

Ad Placement – This is probably what you should do first. If you place your ads in the right place, you will see a lot of improvements in your earnings. Placing your ads near the content usually helps a lot but don’t place too many ads on a single page, its a turn off for most visitors. To help you with this, here’s a chart which shows you the best places to put your ads. The darker the better

Ad formats – Try different ad formats to see which one does well for your blog/website. Usually the rectangles do better than the others.

Block low paying ads – Do this after you have tried all this and your are still getting low clicks. Google allows you to block ads you don’t want using the competitive ad filter, it can be found under adsense setup. With it you can block the ads that you know are low paying. Don’t just block any ad, block the ones you are sure are low paying. Here is more information on blocking unwanted ads

A British man said that he found the the mythical lost city of Atlantis using the newly released Google Ocean about 620 miles off the coast of west Africa. Google ocean lets you dive under the ocean and explore it virtually from your computer. The man who spotted this, Bernie Bamford, said he came across this strange formations that look like streets while just exploring the ocean. Google came out to deny this by saying that “Bathymetric (or seafloor terrain) data is often collected from boats using sonar to take measurements of the sea floor. The lines reflect the path of the boat as it gathers the data. The fact there are blank spots between each of these lines is a sign of how little we really know about the world’s oceans.”

Google has launched yet another service that you can use to track where your friends are. Google latitude lets you see where your friends are on a map and find out what they are up to by contacting them via SMS, IM or phone call. This service can work on both your phone and your computer. On your phone’s browser you have to go to google.com/latitude and start using it from there. For supported phones go here. Though this has raised security questions, it will be useful for parents who want to keep track of their kids or just someone who is lost and needs guidance.
